Suicide Bombings Kill 41 People

Taliban claimed to be behind the action standoff Saturday (10/10) in the Pakistani military headquarters in Rawalpindi, near the capital Islamabad.

According to the radical group, the action shows that they are able to attack anywhere in Pakistan.

''As long as Pakistan continued to attack the Taliban, we will also continue to counterattack,''Taliban spokesman said Pakistan Azam Tariq told AFP by telephone.

Meanwhile, Pakistan again rocked by suicide bomb attack yesterday afternoon (12/10). The explosion occurred in the market town Alpuri, Shangla District, located in Swat.

Action is killing at least 41 people. Major Mushtaq Khan, Pakistan military spokesman in Swat region, reported six people killed were soldiers.

''Forty-one people were killed and 45 others were wounded in this suicide attack. A total of 12 people seriously injured, "said Mian Iftekhar Hussain, officials authorized to issue the Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan, told AFP.
