Cuba announced it has removed regulations requiring citizens to obtain exit permits before traveling abroad.
State media said the policy comes into force effective on January 14 next year. The government also called "reform" immigration law reflects the current situation and the future.
Before the rule was issued, the Cuban people had to undergo a lengthy and expensive process to get a permit and permission requests out of the opposition dissidents are often rejected.
This policy is the latest of a series of reforms by President Raul Castro.

The BBC's Sarah Rainsford, in Havana, reported the exit permit process is currently very hated by most Cubans.
But starting next year, all they need is a valid official passport. This change also means that the Cubans will be allowed permanent residence abroad for up to 24 months, only 11 months earlier, without having to return to renew the license.
Cuba previously considered citizens trying to leave the country as traitors or enemies of the revolution, but the current state seems to make the government realize that a lot of people who want to Kiba out for economic reasons.
For nearly half a century of all economic activity in Cuba is controlled by the state. But under Raul castro, who took over from his brother Fidel in 2008, gradually ease some restrictions in politics, business and society.
