Tourist Bus Bombed Israel, Iran accused

At least six people were killed and many others wounded in an attack on a bus carrying Israelis in an airport in Bulgaria Black Sea area, Wednesday (07/18/2012), officials said. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "all signs point to Iran". Netanyahu's remarks came after an official in Jerusalem said the bus carrying Israelis in the airport in Burgas is shot and thrown explosives. "Israel will retaliate hard on terror Iran," Netanyahu said. "In recent months, we see Iran's efforts to harm the people of Israel in Thailand, India, Georgia, Kenya, Cyprus, and other places." The attack, which first occurred in the region of Bulgaria against Israel, also sparked strong criticism from allies of Israel, the U.S., and France. White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters that the U.S. condemned such attacks against innocent people, especially children. The attack was carried out on the 18th anniversary of the attack on a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in 1994 that killed 85 people and wounding 300. Israel also accuses Iran of responsibility for the attack in 1994. However, Tehran has denied the allegations and in turn accused Israel of masterminding the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists in recent years. "Six people were killed and over 30 injured in an explosion at a tourist bus near the airport Sarafovo (in Burgas)," Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said. Israel and Bulgaria have good relations and the Black Sea coast was a popular vacation spot for the people of Israel, and nearly 140,000 people visited the country in 2011.
