Encourage the UN Security Council Agree Israeli Attack Investigation

Israeli army attacks on humanitarian aid ships joined in Fotilla Freedom mission in international waters and then on Monday (31 / 5) continues to reap the criticism.

Protests and demonstrations condemning the attack was widespread in almost all the world yesterday (1 / 6).

In addition to the Muslim populated countries, the demo took place in the countries of Europe, Asia, even in the land of Israel. They condemned the raid against the help of six ships, including Mavi Marmara Turkish-flagged ship which was carrying about 600 volunteers and activists.

The mission is carrying 10 thousand tons of aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip hit by the blockade and embargo of Israel in recent years. A total of 700 pro-Palestinian volunteer to join the mission. A total of 19 volunteers were killed by Israeli attacks and 36 others wounded. Israel also claimed 10 soldiers were injured.

Respond to these attacks, the Security Council (DK) United Nations held an emergency meeting in New York yesterday. After a closed session for more than 12 hours, the UN Security Council agreed to call for and encourage the investigation of the case.

At the same time, the Human Rights Council (Human Rights) United Nations (UN Human Rights Council) yesterday afternoon (pm last night) also held an emergency meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference took place after pressure from Muslim countries about the need for an international investigation of the Israeli raid on the ship humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Board will hold a debate''about the incident in the ship urgent aid for Gaza,''said Claire Kaplun, a spokesman for 47-member council that country. Request submitted by member countries of the Arab League and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).

Unfortunately, although support and encourage the investigation, the UN Security Council presidential statement agreed on only (a statement issued by consensus of the leadership of the UN Security Council members). This decision under the UNSC resolutions and weaker than the initial demands of the Palestinians, Arab countries, and Turkey. It happened because of U.S. objections, a close ally of Israel, who also became a permanent member of UNSC.

Muslim countries really urgent and called for''the Israeli attack was condemned in strong language and hard''and''held an independent international investigation''. But, finally agreed and the presidential statement read at a formal meeting of the UN Security Council.

It is a call for''an immediate investigation, fair, credible and transparent international standards''. The agreement will also condemn''acts (of violence), such''that resulted in the collapse of fatalities and injuries without naming Israel.

Israel reported, 10 people (volunteers) were killed in the incident. But, IHH (Turkey volunteer organizations) mentioned at least 15 people were killed. Meanwhile, Israeli television station Channel 10 TV announces 19 volunteers were killed and 36 others wounded.

In its decision, the UN Security Council urged Israel to release all the volunteers and activists from around 38 countries who were arrested. They joined in the humanitarian mission to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Among them, there are 12 Indonesian volunteers. In addition, the UN Security Council asked that Israel lift its embargo and blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Six ships were escorted to the humanitarian assistance Ashdod, a port city in northern Israel, after the incidents of the raid. To the military radio, the Israeli Interior Ministry official Yossi Edelstein stated that it had deported 48 of the 686 passengers six ships of humanity.

One of the passengers on the ship who was deported is a former U.S. career diplomat Edward Peck. Among those still detained, as many as 368 of the Turkish nationality. Most victims were killed also came from Turkey.

Prime Minister (PM) Turkey Tayyip Erdogan strongly condemned these attacks and call it a massacre. Erdogan also urged that Israel be punished for such actions. The behavior of Israel''was supposed to get a penalty. Now is the time the international community says enough for Israel. UN must act decisively,''said Erdogan.

Erdogan has spoken with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron. He will also send the same message when he spoke by telephone with U.S. President Barack Obama. Israel must withdraw''inhuman embargo of the Gaza Strip. Killing innocent human being obviously not acceptable,''he asserted.

Her attitude was quite reasonable. Eyewitnesses among the volunteers tell the moment when Israel invaded and attacked ships and fired on volunteers.

''Israeli troops fired bullets, tear gas, and using electric shock weapons to the volunteers,''said Michalis Grigoropoulos Greek activists. At that time, he climbed the ship Eleftheri Mesogeio, Greek ship which is smaller than the ship Mavi Marmara. Some activists also beaten Greek Israeli police when detained in the prison city Ashdod.

Jochheim Matthias, a German doctor on a ship Mavi Marmara, tells us that they only use wood to avenge the Israeli army attacks. Israel denies the statement that volunteers armed with knives and iron.

Three German politicians and representatives of the Palestinian community in Germany, also boarded the ships were. ''I have only seen two other small pieces of wood and used (volunteers). No other weapons, including knives,''said Norman Paech, former German parliamentarian who also volunteers. ''We're not ready to fight because we wanted to show our peaceful protest,''he continued.

The statement was supported by Inge Hoeger, 59, and Annette Groth, 56. Both are members of parliament from Die Linke and colleagues Paech. ''We feel like in a war and kidnapped. In fact, we only bring aid into Gaza and not armed,''said Hoeger.
