Request U.S. Dollar Exchange Rate Pressing Rupiah

Bank Indonesia (BI) hold promise cautious amount of private foreign debt that matures this year. Vigilance, especially concerning the potential size of the rollover (back scheduling) of debt that could not be made in full. The high demand in the U.S. dollar market will also be pressing the rupiah.

Needs of foreign exchange (forex) on the foreign debts corporate sector is quite large. As a benchmark, RI foreign exchange reserves per March 13 ago of USD 53.9 billion. That is, private forex debt maturity of almost half of the foreign exchange reserves.

Hartadi details, 31 percent from USD 17.4 billion foreign debts in the private sector is the parent of the parent company abroad with affiliate in Indonesia.
