News Obama: The U.S. and Israel Cooperation Issues Handle Iran

U.S. President Barack Obama said he would work closely with Israel to prevent Iran from having nuclear power.

"I have decided to clear, we will do everything we can to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons and creating a nuclear arms race in the turbulent region," Obama said in an interview that was broadcast live on NBC on Sunday (05/02)

He said Washington was working closely with Israel is also worried about Iran's nuclear activities. But Obama said he believes Israel has not decided any steps to address the issue of Iran's nuclear problem. "I think Israel has not made a decision about what they need."

He explained this amid reports that the Israeli plan to strike Iran in early spring. In the interview, Obama refused to answer the question whether the United States to be consulted if Israel indeed will launch attacks on Iran. He simply explained that the U.S. and Israel have military and intelligence relationship much closer than before.

Cool the atmosphere

Obama also said that the goal is to solve this issue through diplomatic channels, but he added that no option is removed from the table so far.

BBC report on Washingthon, Jane Little says U.S. leaders seem to want to lower the tension the U.S. and Israel against Iran's nuclear issue.

Previous news Israel plans to attack Iran's nuclear facilities are widely heard. Little also said that behind all that, Washinghton seems to be very careful with reports of planned attacks on Israel to Iran that could raise tensions in the Middle East region and the effect on world oil prices. The rise in oil prices will certainly threaten the global economy and also the opportunity to choose another Obama.

The U.S. and Israel before the government suspects Iran is developing nuclear bombs. The accusation itself has been denied by the Iranian authorities stated that their nuclear program is not for the sake of war.

Last November, the UN nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, said they have information that suggests Iran is conducting a series of trials that were "relevant to the construction of a nuclear bomb."

As a result of the report, the U.S. and some Western European countries began to implement a number of sanctions against Iran, including sanctions that target the interests of the country's oil distribution.
